Thrives in part sun to full shade on moist, well-draining soils—perfect for woodland edges, hedgerow margins, or damp borders where it pairs beautifully with Myosotis arvensis (Field Forget-me-not), Fragaria vesca (Wild Strawberry), and Geranium pratense (Meadow Cranesbill). Red Campion adds vibrant colour through late spring and early summer.

Care: Prefers humus-rich, consistently moist soil. Water regularly during dry spells to keep soil damp but not waterlogged. A light mulch of compost in autumn conserves moisture. Self-seeds readily; thin seedlings to maintain spacing. Thrives in containers with a minimum depth of 6 inches and regular watering.
